Batkid Saves San Francisco

A boy’s wish to be Batman inspired thousands of volunteers to help turn the streets of San Francisco into Gotham City today.

Five-year-old Miles, aka Batkid, has been fighting Leukemia since he was a baby. The Make-a-Wish Foundation helped organize an entire day catered to the caped crusader. Miles, whose cancer is in remission, rode in a Batmobile, rescued a damsel in distress and helped police capture the Riddler and the Penguin. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee even gave Miles a key to the city.

To see more of Miles’s day of crime-fighting adventure, follow @abc7newsbayarea on Instagram or check out the #sfbatkid hashtag

So Much Parsley, So Little Thyme BurgerAll beef burger served rare dressed with a mixture of garlic, olive oil, tomatoes, gruyere cheese, and of course PARSLEY! Served with a time salad… Okay, I know. I screwed up! It’s supposed to be so much Fennel, so little Thyme. But I messed it up and was hungry. Deal with it.I diced up some parsley garlic and tomatoes and mixed them in some olive oil and pepper. Then I added a few small bits of Gruyere for color.  I cooked the burger on high heat till and added some long Gruyere slices. Growing up with my moms french onion soup - I developed a serious love for Gruyere cheese.  I threw the parsley mix on top and voila! DeliciousAbsolutely great flavor to this burger. Needed nothing else at all. The parsley was potent and the gruyere gave it that unique earthiness.
